Morning all! Dentist visit this morning and then a stop at the dealer to have them check my seat wear. Need to get the grass cut after that. We are cleaning up the place after having hard wood floors installed in all of the bedrooms. New bed arriving tomorrow. Hopefully not much else but relaxing after that.
Hope everyone enjoys the holiday weekend!

We had high winds and a lot of rail early last night with a tornado warning. My canopy over my outside cooking area held up well. First pic is when we started. Second pic is the finished phase of the project. We added two more rows of weed block then installed fifteen 3cuft bags of mulch. Taking a break today from the project but I will get 8 more bags of mulch from the gardening center for the next phase. I might burn the fire pit so I can burn down some oak wood into coals to fire my Weber Smokey Mountain for a pork butt cook on Sunday.

    Looks great, Tom!!!

Had a shower about 6AM this morning but clearing now - supposed to be a good day. I'm planning on washing the Tacoma and sprucing up the Z3. Lynn and I are meeting friends for dinner about 50 minutes from here and will take the Z3 - looks like it will be a perfect top-down evening. The weekend is looking great - pool time!! And, next week we head back up into the 80s. Heaven.

Be safe out there and live it large!

Leave it to the Brits to:
Hair salon had to remove job ad for 'happy’ stylist because it is 'discriminatory' against unhappy people

People are getting too thin skinned these days.

A little something every chance we get.
Good Morning folks. Happy to report waking up to thunder, lightning, and a little rain! Almost to a couple tenths even! It sounds so good on the sunroom roof! Mowing was the first thing up, but I get to wait. I'll figger it out. If it really does what the weather is supposed to, we will be hot and poolside this long weekend. Going to figure out something to grill.
    Y'all have a good 'un!

Full moon has our two fuzzies up and pacing on guard duty over the eve. Lots of critters moving out in the wash. Huge group howl at dawn by the coyote tribes ...... In Wyoming shooting of coyotes on sight was a common practice - here they seem to be tolerated.

Good morning all, woke to raccoons on the deck drinking the humming bird feeders - dogs ran them off then the bear paid a visit - busy morning.

Warm weather all weekend then SNOW Monday evening and all day Tuesday. Up here we are supposed to get some accumulation even with warm ground temps. Then it warms up again late next week.

Have a great Holiday weekend everyone and of course STAY safe out there.

Going into another heat wave here. 103 tomorrow and 111 Sunday. I’m am done with the heat. Looking forward to a cool fall and trout fishing in the Sierras.
Today is our 26th wedding anniversary. Ordinarily we travel somewhere but this year just staying home. I’m making a sea food dinner. Dungeness crab, steamed clams and mussels, grilled asparagus, nice salad with shrimp and garlic bread. And Rothschilds champagne.
Stay well and be safe all
