Has anyone had issues with JBA uca's? I just had some installed a week ago and now I am getting noise from them. I took it to the shop and they said the ball joints are already bad. The ball joints feel loose. Checked and torqued all bolts. What would cause them to go out in a week? or maybe I just got a bad batch? Is that possible? I also have a 3" lift with stock tires. Any advise would be appreciated.

Did you put grease in them when they were installed??

I’ve had mine 15k miles with plenty of off-roading and no issues. Regrease every 5k.

I did not. I assumed my installer did but I looked today and they seemed kind of dry to me. I know its a stupid questions but if it did not have enough grease would they go bad in 100 miles?

Put grease in them per their specs. 3-5 pumps for the ball joint, enough in each bushing to see it squeeze out. Then see if it goes away.

Might be too late? The ball joints might have suffered premature wear if they were dry.

I would ask the installer to order you replacement ball joints from JBA.

Alot of folks using various red greases but JBA recommends using a high quality moly lithium NG2 grease. Ball joints take alot of extreme high pressure and the molybdenum additive (3%) reduces shear wear.

I had a set of JBA UCA ball joints go bad on a lifted 4R I had. Not sure why, I was good about the grease...but man, it seems like they did not like to hold grease very long. Like a previous poster said, I was hitting them about every 5k or 6k miles. Kind of a pain. I did get the ball joints replaced under warranty.
