My understanding is that it only cuts power below 3500 rpm in 1st at WOT (no burn outs). Should not affect a dyno pull.

That's what I thought too from OVT's posts. Until Magnuson actually posts their dyno charts and we get some real user feedback beyond doing donuts in a dirt parking lot this is all just speculation.

Just placed my order. I should have it mid October. I’ll keep updating. If no one else puts out dyno numbers before then, I will.

The Magnuson SC looks great. Once the CARB is ready, I'm ready. :)

This thread is terrible. Been following since the beginning. A bunch of know it alls and OVTune customers that want numbers and specifics that haven't been released to the public yet for reasons that are obvious. Get a clue. Sorry don’t normally post like this but some of you guys really suck. If it’s not for you then get your twin turbos and go away. Quit trashing on people and companies with nothing to back it up with besides speculation and guesses. Sure there is some good information on here but mostly just impatient jerks being jerks.

Perhaps you should also want to see documented and verified dyno numbers rather than just a few hype videos. Magnuson is effectively relying on their reputation to sell these kits, and it's working from what I've seen in the Facebook groups following them opening up orders to the public.

You effectively just asked people to stop doing due diligence and not bother with only making informed purchases.

Advocators of the Magnuson supercharger and their vendors shouldn't rely on what basically amounts to nothing but "speculation and guesses" as you put it, and when they do, that's what they receive in return.

I'm happy that Yotaholic or whomever's truck can do a donut in the dirt with the supercharger. It looks like it does that donut very well.

Contrary to popular belief, it IS okay to cast doubt on a product when the company making it doesn't offer much supporting info or evidence on it. In such a scenario, demanding more than a couple uninformative videos should be encouraged.

Imagine being that guy who is asking other people to stop asking for verifiable information on the benefits of this supercharger

So for anyone who purchased Magnuson SC and you have 33" or bigger tires and have been regeared did you ask if there is tune to go with those bigger tires and gears? From what i understand they do not have a tune for those applications! Did they say you can just run there SC without being tuned for gears and bigger tires?

I don’t disagree with much that you said here. I just think people should be patient and wait to see these numbers before assumptions are made. I want all the information as well, that’s the whole reason I’m following this thread. But all the bs comments are not questions demanding answers. They are just opinions and guys being jerks thinking that’s the best way to get said information/ answers. I too think it would be silly to spend this type of money on someone’s reputation. I’m not advocating for Magnuson at all. I just want real info on what I should be leaning towards - TT or SC:confused: demanding more info for this SC from a off-road company that installed another’s companies product is not going to get you far IMO. All I’m saying is the answers will come soon enough. Don’t need to be a jerk while we wait:thumbsup:

The rep said that other tunes will be coming out for re gears and larger than 33”s. But right now they are trying to limit installs for retail customers to stock gearing and 33”s or smaller.

Seriously, while this kit may be in a relatively mild state of tune.... it's a freakin' intercooled TVS 1900 slapped on a 3.5L. Eventually, the fuel limitations will be dealt with, and then pulley swaps pushing boost far into the double digits will have these things absolutely screaming.

My kits should arrive in roughly a week.

The fuel limitations will be primarily dealt with by the end user, customers such as yourself, since fuel upgrades will be required.

Not bashing it, just informing you in case you were unaware. There's a fuel wall that tuning alone won't clear. There's hardware that will be required, just like how a smaller pulley will be needed as you said.

Oh yes, very aware of the required hardware, but thank you for pointing it out, as I did not.

go to their web page - the "calibration" will address tire size, gearing (stock, 4.88 and 5.29) and exhaust. Their "tuner" is VFTuner - -OVTune's product - so I'd think Mat will support them with training just like he does the rest of his clients purchasing his product. I'd be running Mat's SC and or twins but he currently does not have the resources (cash, time, or desire) to get a CARB. Magnuson has all the noted and is using Mat's stellar tuning software. Based on the Gen2 Magnuson results and successes I'd say they have no intent or desire to lay and egg on the Gen3. I will be installing a Magnuson on my Gen3 with stock tires, 4.88's and trd pro exhaust when they release the CARB.
