Exactly small town cops, They'd chase us to the city limit sign and stop. Later in the night when we'd cruise back into town, they'd pull up next to us and say, we'll get you next time. Like living in a Norman Rockwell picture of Mayberry N.C. Nobody got shot and killed over nothing back then. If you had a problem with some dude, you had a fist fight, no knives, no guns. One guy would best the other and it was over. I made quite a few friends this way growing up, jut letting them know I wasn't scared them. I always got my licks in, but didn't always win. Now days, these punk kids carry knives and guns. Kill each other over nothing.

And People wonder why I conceal/carry.

 

Well I can honestly say I've heard of the group, but don't recognize that song at all. Must be 80's music.

 

@SweetT , That Jeep would snap my spine in the 1st mile riding in it. I used to call the CJ5's Kidney busters. roughest riding vehicle I've ever been in, other than my brothers 1960 scout. they do okay on the highway, but side roads, gravel roads, anything with bumps and pot holes, no thank you. Well after thinking about it, my 1982 Toyota Pickup didn't exactly ride like a cadillac.

spent the morning washing and cleaning out the truck. It needed it badly. Even cleaned the wheels

Well I wouldn't get all bent out of shape over it, unless you missed an appointment or something. Sleeping in now and then is good for you. Hell I take a nap every day, sometimes 2.

I would think that the OP of such a page-girthy thread would know how to quote by now...

 

I sat by my Moms 3rd husbands death bed and watched him as he passed. He woke up for a brief moment, we had my mom come and say goodbye to him, and we told him not too worry, Mom would be taken care of. I told him "Bill, it's time to go home", and he laid back down and breathed his last breath. That Experience completely changed my viewpoint on death, and I don't worry about it like I used to when I was younger. It's just another phase in the journey of life.

I don't know how care givers in Nursing homes and hospitals deal with this on a daily basis, day in and day out. I couldn't do it, I know that. So my hats off to all those who work in the health care industry, and God Bless you for the work you do.

 

had a nice 3 mile walk this morning in cool air for a change. I have nothing planed for right now, so I think I'll take a nap. I'll check back in later in the afternoon. I hope everyone enjoys and has a great Saturday free from the stress of daily life and work.
