I am about to put a 1200 lb. Four Wheel brand camper on my '17 tacoma trd 6ft. bed.

I may have this upgrade professionally installed :

    https://www.mainlineoverland.com/pr...ta-tacoma-2-0-lift-kit?variant=14550720086082

I love the look of a lifted truck and I think they are also going to add a leaf. I also did crave some additional clearance after last winters offroading to get to cool camp spots.

I am not a gearhead, I just like gear. Does anyone have an opinion on the hardware I am about to put on? Just thought I'd post here out of curiosity before I go with it.

    Thanks all...

    JF

I'm looking at the heavy front medium rear version of that kit. I am pretty interested in how well it rides.

That’s a lot of money for house branded kit. Did you look into OME or Dobinsons? Same style setup but with long proven track records and less money.

Not bashing the kit, but reading the description I’m just trying to see the added value here.

It's a Dobinson kit I believe. Made for Overland. Sometimes I don't have the energy to shop around with stuff I know little about. But always appreciate the input.

I bet you’re right. I think Mainline is one of the very few Dobinsons vendors in the US so that would make sense. It’s probably a pretty sweet setup for what you have planned. I’m not going to lie, I’m a little jealous of your incoming camper setup.

Spent most of my young life in a VW Bus and loved every minute of it. Spent last two winters in my truck with a Cap on the back. It was great but man am I going to love this setup too I bet. Its my kind of living. I will be full time in it for the first 6 months so I'll post back about pros cons etc.

I was just at MainLine yesterday and picked up the GTS system. I told him I loved their truck out front and he was telling me it’s the GTS system but with hilux springs in the rear for the weight of the camper. Sits pretty good.

Quite a few things at this point..
Any update on this suspension? Thinking of pulling the trigger on it, but want to hear from a user on quality.
