Custom Softopper Rack

Hey all, I just received my custom made rack from Overland Racks Ontario. Sean was great and easy to deal with, and his pricing was extremely competitive. If you're in the market for a bed rack for your Taco, definitely give him a look. I love my new rack and highly recommend ORO.

 

Wow. Just look at the Rack on that. Very nice. Any info on load capacity?

 

Honestly, I didn't even ask about load limits. Though its surprisingly light, its steel and is solid as can be. I have no doubts that it'll hold anything I plan on throwing on it. It bolts to the accessory rail and sits on the bed rail at the same time.

 

Been off the forums for a long time, so apologies for the 3 month delay...
Everything I build is put through beam/column load calculators and overbuild for any reasonable use.

My personal rack was used for regular steel loads that far outweighed a typical overland setup.

Makes sense. Why pay for delivery when you can pick it up yourself. I'd like to Go Hard Top but it would need wingnuts with all the on/off so just not worth it. Soft top w/ a rack it's gotta be then. Just a little concerned about it gettin' beat up in the Winter but what doesn't. I'm sure a kayak or aluminum boat wouldn't be a problem at all.

 

Kayaks and aluminum boat would be no problem at all.

After building this rack, it sold me on the new Bestop soft topper for my new truck. Ordered that beginning of October and it's still on backorder

So I'm rackless for now..
