class 1 has to have 10 items, class 2 needs 6. No point system, so just having an interior, which is required in class 1 (all electronics have to be hidden from sight), will add a few. Door handles and other things will make it pretty easy over all. I already had, or made the items in the bed, so I got a little carried away. :anonymous: Doesn’t seem to effect the weight too much, she stays planted. May run this truck in diehard, if the hurricanes don’t mess it up this weekend.

Brought home the “W” in the bouncers, and 6th in the diehard. Had an epic send through a gap, about 5’ up to take the victory. Forgot my lexan body for diehard, so had to compete with the full hardbody. I was dominated by gate 4, multiple touches from being stuck on lid, multiple winch penalties before my winch battery fell out and rendered that useless. Was still able to finish off the course in 19 out of the 25 mins. Not a bad night, at all!

New voodoo foams (c1 rig) are a diff breed all together! Soft vs standard. Inner ring width is the difference maker. Put the standard up front and the soft in the rear, for now, to attempt to prevent tire roll when turning on incline/declines. Also got my Holmes order in, so will be I going up to a 12T, from a 16T, and dropping the pinion count.

Foams did much better, and the new 12T with 13t pinion, still lacked the wheel speed I’m looking for, so going to throw the 17t pinion on before the next outing!

No issues at all. Stayed cool and had plenty of torque. I’m happy with it.

So, who runs a 4 link front suspension? I’m about to build myself some new links(thanks @Tundra2Play for the idea) and I’m wondering if anyone has tried a 4 link on an RC.

I do. I had to do some customization and different frame rails to get it to work on the TRX because of the motor positioning

Are you happy with how the front suspension moves? I’m going SOA, and changing my shock hoops, so it’ll all be changed up anyway, so I’m thinking about doing it while it’s all torn down already. Figured I’d ask before I screw something up...

Yes, I am. TRX comes stock with chassis mount servo and panhard bar. I didn't get as much travel on the side where the panhard connected to the frame and it would bind up, limiting steering. Moving to axle mounted servo required me finding a new servo mount and that would also support 4 link. After that change, I was VERY pleased with the performance of my crawler.

I use 10 24 all thread and 1/4” brake line. 100x easier if you cut a piece of all thread to put in drill and pre tap your rod ends.

Test n tooooon. Big fan of the landmines in wet terrain, or any terrain for that matter. 2000kV pulls soooo much harder than the 3500, for obv reasons. :anonymous: Have some heavier springs coming from Ottsix for the shocks. Prob gonna thicken the fluid up and see.

So, are the Landmines better than a broken in Canyon Trail?
