Hello all . I just joined Tacoma world. I live at the New Jersey Shore and I have owned 2 Tacomas. I am selling my 2002 right now. I my wife and I just picked up our newest. I was searching the internet for a good buy on a Tacoma Off road double cab with a 6 foot bed. Not many to be found with low mileage. I decided to expand my search and found a super deal in Pocatella Idaho. Only 7,350 miles and about $5k under market value. So.... We flew out to Salt lake City, rented a car, drove to the Toyota dealership in Pocatella signed the papers and drove it back to N.J. We made several stops along the way. Yellowstone/Montanna/Black Hills ,South Dakota/ Needles Highway(COOL) -the Bandlands and across the country over 7 days. It was the most fun I had buying a car in my life. I recommend it highly.

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
That’s the way to do it. Congrats and welcome to TW!

I flew from San Diego to San Francisco, got on a wine country bus at the airport, got off at a stop an hour later, ubered to the dealership, bought my truck and drove home all in the same day. The dealerships around here were all morons. All of them. Believe me I tried to buy close to home.

Flew to AZ to buy a car a few years back, drove a little over 1000 miles by myself the first day, still had 450 to go the second day, but made it back in time to pick up my son at school in the new to me ride.
