Traded in my lifted 06 4Runner sport. Would have kept it, but it was 2months behind a design change for the head gasket, and started having the waterfall behind the dash sound which indicated looming head gasket failure. Was a good low maintenance vehicle though up to that point. Only got 6500 trade, could have sold it for more but didn’t want to stick someone with that future issue ($4k repair).

bought my new 19 for $32,500 though since the 2020s were arriving. Love the Tacoma so far, although the backseats are a little smaller. We usually take the Sienna for family road trips though.

Traded my 2nd gen 2010 SR5 w/60K in 12/16 for my 17 Sport. No regrets for the most part. Certain things I liked about the 10 but they do not outweigh the 17.
Would do it again in a heartbeat.
Pic of the 10 the day I brought it home. Loved the color- wish they hadn't discontinued it

V6 3.6 decent on gas but still had a little pep in its step. Kind of fancy depending what you’re used to. Cool car to drive while I did. Life got in the way and I got a Tacoma.
    Thank you life. :fistbump:

I didn't technically trade anything in for my 2017 Taco. I had a 2014 VW Passat TDI that was part of the big "dieselgate" emissions scandal. As part of the class action lawsuit, VW offered to buy back all affected TDI models at reasonably close to original purchase price. While I loved getting 40 MPG, the damn thing had several major mechanical failures in the 3 years I owned it, and I wanted a truck again, so I sold it back to VW and used those funds to put a huge down payment on my Off Road.

No trades. $6k down and had an Mitsubishi Endeavor and Harley for my other rides. Soon found out 3 ride for a single guy was too much. Have since sold the other two a few years after

Sold my 2019 Accord to Carvana when they were offering a ton more than trade value. Picked up my 2020 OR the next day.

I only miss the gas mileage.

I almost traded in my 2011 Corolla....until they offered me $2500 for it. I could probably sell it for $5-$6k in todays market pretty easily. The sales guy looked me in the eye and said that they had a 2011 fully loaded Corolla out front for $9k and they have not been able to sell it and I honestly couldn’t see where he was going the the comparison. I just told him I’d keep it. I like having it as my commuter car. It makes driving the Tacoma feel like a treat. Weird I know....

Traded my 2013 Honda Civic Si Coupe. Great little car but the 2 doors and no trunk space wasn't practical

The value on my 2WD was incredible. I talked them way down and bought it $4k below sticker. I drove it 2 years and put 50k miles on it. Loved that truck.

3 years now owning my 2017 with 83,000 miles. Love this thing more. 3 trips across country including a monster 5,000 mile 2 week trip to Oregon/Washington and back to Milwaukee.74D4A9C0-A4B3-4C71-BD03-ED6FB460831B.jpg

Camping trips, commute to work and just daily driving it’s a awesome truck!

Not really a trade but I bought my 2020 SR5 in late July with $14k down. The plan was to sell my 2006 Jeep Liberty CRD Limited privately and put most of it in to the loan and spend some on things I wanted for the new truck. Darn if I didn't get involved in a minor accident with the Jeep on a camping trip 3 days before the truck was expected to arrive. That delayed the sale but I still sold it quickly for a little more than I originally thought after the door was repaired. I do miss the diesel a little and the CRD was a solid platform if it had some mods for longevity which some I had done. I just didn't want to do the valves and head with the water pump and timing belt at 200k. I was finding some diesel specific parts harder and harder to get and that's not acceptable for a daily driver.
I do very much enjoy the Taco and can't wait to take it on some adventures like I did with the Jeep. I would say so far it's been a great truck and a good purchase decision.
