A few years ago I got a cheap cap off of craigslist that was painted with black bed liner. The cap is off my truck for a couple weeks and want to redo it. Anyone know if I can put new bed liner over the existing. It seems like I can peel off the old stuff, but it would be extremely time consuming. Currently it has faded pretty bad and has peeled in certain areas.

Bed liner likes a prep'd surface. What better prep'd surface is bed liner? lol. I'd just repaint it. You don't have much to loose.
Except $2500 for a new one.

yea true, it was only like $350. I just didn’t know if it would peel or not. No idea what brand it was originally painted with. Guess there is only one way to find out.

There is a "roll on" bed liner that is really good. I sold a bunch of them. Herculiner is the name. Sold at most brick and mortar stores. It does the best at "texture".
