You'd be real surprised what a stock taco can do. Part of it is also learning perspective as it relates to obstacles. When you first start wheeling everything looks huge and like it'll rip out all the important stuff under your truck. Learning what is actually and is not possible in a stock truck is part of the fun.

I'm assuming you know the rock crawl in the RI spot? The first time going up that I thought I destroyed by rockers. Nothing. Watching a (albeit lifted a little I think?) truck go up either the next week or later, I saw how much room I actually had to play with too.

I am well aware of that spot. I designed the new T-Lines in that are back in 2009 and spent ~3years in the area working on those and other associated lines.

@BadDNA you think you can hook into my midland radios?
I know Max did 1 time with the HAM not sure with an actual GMRS unit.
I do have a GMRS but I still need an antenna and to hook it up.
I've been putting it off since last year:rofl:

I might, but not not committing or even saying maybe, cause it never works out.

We can try, assuming you can dial in the GMRS frequencies, it should be pretty easy and I have a list of them by channel. I do also have a pair of handhelds I can loan if needed.

I got to wheel with @Skierrichy yesterday and it was very cool to see him be able to just pick lines and see these routes in his head.
I have a Baofeng UV5R that I have no idea how to program... Could that be used for trail comms?

    Speaking of illegal.... :D

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/General_Mobile_Radio_Service#Frequency_Table

Looks like the midland ones you can punch in more frequencies manually?

Can't really tell. Check out page 16.

Yup that's (similar to) what I use. UV5R+, same shit different toilet. Hit the button on the front and punch in the frequency from the GMRS band

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/General_Mobile_Radio_Service#Frequency_Table

Drop the last digit don't round up.

Unless you're on the marked trail (Ross trail/ center trail?) Anything on the T-Line or Gas line Right of way ( ROW) is illegal. All the other areas are part of that wildlife management area and fine. So traveling down the tline corridor is not legal, like where the old ledge climb was back in the day before it got graded, and the whole section with all those mud holes/ that little climb up to the green tube fence where you can go to the right or left ( that's all TGP ROW) is not legal to traverse.
