Hell yes for snow. The past few years it seems like we've just gotten brutally cold wind and little else. In general I'm just glad it isn't hot anymore.

I know right? As a kid in Wisco I feel like we had so much more snow. I lived in an apartment complex and they used to shovel it all onto this small strip of land between the parking lot and the road and I'd play on that hill all night. In 2007 we got like 4 feet of snow one weekend and they brought dump trucks into town to scoop up the snow and take it away. That was a few months before I moved to the desert. Would've been the SICKEST snowhill ever. I was so distraught. My first year living in Vegas in 2008 it snowed like 2 inches and people still share the anniversary of that on social media every fucking year. I had no idea that'd be the last time I'd see snow for years lmao. Moving back winters just don't have the same gusto.

The Civic is FWD yeah? You'd live, lol

Yeah, I wouldn't if I had access to the Taco whenever I wanted haha. Thing is killer in the winter. Corolla doesn't do too bad, I just had a really close call 2 winters ago on 71 in an ice patch and almost ended up in a pileup and now I just avoid going out, which is fine. The less I go out the more I get done at home, right?

ya the Tacoma does pretty good but tbh i loved my 91 pickup way more in the winter it felt planted and low the Tacoma is the very opposite of all of that lol the civic the one time i drove it and got stuck in a little bit of snow and ice it handled it great buuuut i dont want rust or anything so it stays nice and dry in the garage away from all the road salt

Mine pretty well stays parked when there's salt on the road; it's a lazy way to keep the frame nice.

Winter is why our paint looks like crap, lol. I need to get a pro to clean it then start keeping up with it during the winter. Doesn't help that MO really oversalts

Mine is solid particularly for a MO/KS truck, and I really don't give it much attention beyond occasionally running it through the car wash. No frame issues or holes in the floorboards, but I did replace the front fenders a few years ago. By comparison it seems Tacomas rot out at a glance given the prevalence of frame recalls, and mine is currently too clean to risk.

Do they have a rear diff skid and a gas tank skid for a good price? I would most likely go for a wrecked rear end that needs to be towed as long as the drivelines ok. I'm totally down with the built not bought squad! Let's keep on gettin it! Moab summer 2021 or bust!

This discussion made me go take a look. I knocked some surface rust off and rattle canned part of the frame a couple years ago. Still has some surface spots but none of the steel is compromised. Not bad for 27 years of Midwestern neglect.

I did notice on a girl's instagram whom is out in Utah sharing crazy wind on her story. Wild. Trying to find a Mr. Heater buddy to borrow, lol.
