2011 Tacoma D Cab off road
    Hi,
I just bought a 2011 D cab Tacoma used from a Toyo dealership. When I asked about the frame recall, they told me that my truck was eligible, and needed to be brought in. Apparently upon inspection for warranty issues they determined that the frame only needed to be oiled.

is this typical, or should I push for a replacement,
If I go with the oil, will they honor (without cost to me) redoing if the frame deteriorated further.

    THANKS FOR YOUR RESPONSES...
You’ve given me the clarity that I need.

NOW that it’s covered by the Extended warranty for twelve years, is it up to me to clean and re-oil it every year, or will Toyota do tat service?

    thanks Bri g

Only gonna get a replacement if there is a hole 3/8" or larger caused by rust.

Now that the Toyota dealership has treated the frame it's covered by extended warranty for 12 years from first date of use. Rinse off road salt and apply Fluid film in fall.IMG_20191008_145233266.jpg

if they determined just oil then that's it, if it should still be in ur possession and the frame rots in half then I think youll qualify for a new frame then
