    Hey Guys/Gals
Looking for a little advice, looking at a 2010 Taco Access cab 4x4, 168K. I currently have a 2000 Dakota 4x4 extended cab 110K, 4.7L. The Dakota is in good shape and has treated me well. There have been a couple of minor issues but nothing that has left me stranded in the desert. I've heard the Tacoma's last forever and are a bit better on mpgs. Also I like the access cab concept, not interested in the quad cabs; I want the longer bed.

The 2010 Taco mentioned above is being offered for 15K. What are some typical things that I should look for at this mileage? Advice is appreciated.

    Thanks in advance

    Thanks Matt,
I'm in Arizona, not sure if the truck is an Arizona truck but will definitely check out the frame

The price is a little bit high for the year and mileage. Not ridiculously high, but kinda high. Hopefully for that price it’s a TRD off road. I wouldn’t be afraid of the miles, just wouldn’t pay that price.

Appreciate the input Muddinfun, Still debating whether I want to go for it or wait for another access cab to pop up.

TheDevilYouLove You can’t polish a turd, but you can polish a TRD

I have a 2010 with 160k on it. Had it since new and never had an issue. As long as the frame isn’t rusted and it’s been maintained, should be good to go.

Have the following been done (if not you will be doing them very soon):
    Front wheel bearings/hubs
    Alternator
Idler and tensioner pulleys (3 and 1)
    Shocks all around
Rear springs (sag and a recall for splintering)
Rear wheel bearings and rear diff (if used for towing heavy stuff)
Look at roof and hood for clearcoat fade/peel/chalking if started a repaint is coming

As mentioned is it a TRD that has e-locker in rear as all others use ECM to simulate locker with ABS brakes.

That's my big areas to look at. If you want a lift or bigger tires that's another story and many posts on that topic as well as all others.

I have 2010. I bought it used . Had the frame replaced under Toyota. Only problem ive had is a bad o2 sensor. Other wise just basic maintenance truck runs great. Its a good year to buy
