Moving back to California?

    Maybe you're in the wrong part of Texas? I mean...if you moved from say La Jolla to Pearsall, TX, that would depress anyone. If the city you moved to doesn't have the things you want, then you won't be happy.

    I live in Seabrook, TX and love it. 2 years ago, I lived in La Porte, TX (literally 15 minutes away) and hated it. The town can be good or bad, regardless of the state it's in.

    EDIT: I've spent quite a bit of time in California. Los Angeles, La Jolla, San Francisco, San Diego...I've been to all of these multiple times. California cooking has nothing on Texas. Spend some time in Houston. There's a reason it's referred to as the "foodie mecca".

    That being said, Im not a fan of Houston otherwise.
