    Hahahaha!

    I tried some FlexSeal on a pair of riding boots before a motocamping trip. It sealed, just didn't flex.

    That's why I'm a fan of the frontal disassembly method. The Subby dealer had to do that twice to fix VVT errors on ours (both banks at separate times). Good job on their side.

    There is a rather large update to vF Tuner that should be coming this month.
    After that we will be hosting training material.

    You got a minute for a Throttle request question?

    When doing the throttle request mapping, to get a responsive 1.05 performance tune type throttle, is it more important for the values from left to right to climb at a steeper rate and keep the top to bottom values gradual or even control "I" them for simplicity? This seems to be my findings. Just looking for confirmation. Screenshot_20200908-182835.jpg

    oh also, for anyone who wants to eliminate the throttle limitations from 800 to 2000 RPM (sorry I couldn't recall the exact rpm)

    here is how.
    find tables
    Airload control - Control Airflow
    Airload control - Expected Airflow

    you'll see in these areas, that 800 to 2000 rpm,
    highlight the area and CTRL + I to smooth this dip and hump out of the airload control maps.

    Be sure to select the 4th axis, because there are actually 4 tables, and eliminate the dip/humps on them

    1.05 has the 2D throttle tables modified + it has ignition deviation factor multiplier also modified (which is a throttle torque limitation table). However be very careful playing with deviation tables on ignition you can get loss of throttle and limp mode.

    the number you put in there is the maximum amount of throttle the ECU allows for that vehicle speed and torque calculation.
    lower = number
    higher = more.

    Any chance you could dumb down what the range of numbers is? On the far left I entered values from 0-13. That's a % of the throttle being opened and from left to right I entered from 0-89%. what exactly is the increase doing for me when going from to bottom vs left to right?

    I'm thinking the left to right values on the 3d mapping represent or are similar to that of the 2d mapping... Correct? What do the values from top to bottom get me when increased?

    kind of.

    the 3D table limits the true angle (except idle compensated angle.. so above that). with a maximum of 89*

    the 2D tables represent the throttle from 0 to 100, but do the same thing. higher number = more throttle allowed.

    these tables are used to calculate the base additional throttle angle *before* calculations like airload, torque calculations, calculated manifold pressure, etc are applied and trim the throttle.

    Toyotas throttle control is overly complex.. So in a super simple term "bigger number = more throttle"

    note, a little change in the 2D tables can go a long way. So just take your time and dial it in.
    putting "100" in the map at "10%" gas pedal means you'll touch the gas and the engine will go wide open. So don't do that.
