i thought the moon made a cool pattern in the sky, i had never seen it before but it is a bit noisy...shooting in the dark is hard :(
i also though the sky looked pretty cool too but its just a random shot of the sky haha

I lost track thousands of dollars ago.

I have on experience with any of these lenses. I have however shot with the Nikkor 55-200 VR and i wouldn't recommend it. i have the newer version of the Nikkor 70-300 it's a nice lens. check it out http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/449088-USA/Nikon_2161_AF_S_VR_Zoom_Nikkor.html

I highly recommend you not skimp out on lenses save a little more and get a lens that will last you for years. if you buy a cheaper lens you will grow out of it fast and you will be wanting a replacement.

It's a really cheap kit lens. The mounting contacts are plastic the focus is slow and wandering and it's not very sharp. It's really just an extension to the 18-55 witch is a good lens for a kit lens but I would never buy it as a new lens. The 70-300mm VR is awesome if you don't care about the f stop not being the fastest. I have taken some beautiful portraits with that lens. What are you getting the lens for if I may ask?

oh okay, well sounds like good evidence of a not to good lens.

i want something to zoom in more, i feel like im in situations where my 18-55 cant zoom in close enough, but idk i think ill wait on the lens, i want an off camera flash too so i think ill wait until i get more money and go from there

Yeah then the 70-300mm VR would be nice to have it reaches far on a DX body. And I have shot some sharp Images at 300mm hand held. Heres one
