Just going through my daily routine. Got a Doctors appt. in a little bit for med refills. Dumb how they make you come in just to get a dang refill.

Some folks just want to have it, and 4wd trucks hold their resale value better.

Also, a lot of people on this forum have skids and sliders and their truck has never seen rocks. Same concept.

    Like, so many.
I also don’t understand. Best I can figure is that they wanted a piece of the “lifestyle.” Or maybe the like the idea of adventure, but not actually doing it?
Like you see all these soccer moms driving Rubicons. I get it if you just like the look of a Wrangler, but why in the world would you buy a Rubicon if you aren’t going off road.
I wonder how many Raptors ever get on a trail.

To be fair there's no other truck like a raptor. The engine output factory cannot be had in any other trim of the F150.

Rubicon's have a particular look to them that other jeeps don't, however I can agree since a similarly interior spec wrangler can probably be 10k less.

4x4 trucks aren't a huge investment over a 2wd when payments are done over 60 months.

I agree on resale value but thats like saying im gonna get something that will hold its value for the next guy who owns it lol. I never buy a vehicle with that intent in mind. I understand things happen in life but i still wouldn't buy a vehicle that i dont have enough buffer that i would have to get rid of it to sustain myself.

Yea same concept with skids and sliders haha. Not sure there either i guess they like the look with non of the play :notsure:

but the gas savings alone. your gonna get like 2-3 better mpg over the course of lets say 5 years is a ton of money.

Just did math, if you get 3mpg better over the couse of 5 years thats an extra 260 fill ups that you sont have to spend money on. Thats 10,400 dollars in gas. I was being genuirous that the gas was $40 a fill up

My moms 2018 TRDOR 4x4 get's 22mpg daily stock, she even get's up to 23 or so depending on traffic.

Given she doesn't speed just sets cruise at 70 and goes. Her truck has close to 70k miles on it already driving 100 miles daily since new.

I dunno how many of you guys are on Instagram but I've been selected again this year as a finalist. If you are on Instagram and wouldn't mind voting for my pic I'd appreciate it. It's the only one of Opelika. As far back as I can remember photos in Auburn always win.

I believe the way they run the voting aspect of the contest, just started this last year, is a bit unfair by posting it on Instagram. Whoever has the most followers will probably win. I think it should be an internal thing but whatever, I digress.

Here's the link to my photo (twistylensphoto) 1 like is 1 point, a comment is worth 2 points.

    Thanks guys

I bought a 2WD thing it would never see anything other than pavement so thought no need for 4WD. I was wrong. :anonymous:

But in all honesty i think the kind of offroading/camping you do youd be fine with just a rear locker. I got away with about 90% of the stuff i do. Just that 10% that i wanted to do that i couldn't.
