its 2018 Trd sport 4x4. I thought it was supposed to have a 21.5 gallon tank. But I can’t force more than 18 gallons in it. What gives.

When are you filling? I typically fill up at about 30 miles until E, and I get about 17.8-18 gallons into the truck. I’ve taken it down to 0 miles and drove another 10 miles and then filled, I got about 19.5 into the truck. There seems to be a 3 gallon reserve or so

My guess and it's purely random, is it's not completely empty when you refill it.

Beyond what others have correctly said, if you keep 'forcing' more fuel in when you fill up (topping off), there is a good chance of flooding the charcoal canister and costing yourself a $1k repair.

    One click. One click only.

You have a mule truck. Drop the tank, collect your party bricks.

Oftentimes I get 12-15mpg in the city. With some metal armor, these trucks can get over 5000lbs fast. That's a good amount of starting weight for a V6.

...oops, damn, thought this was an mpg thread

haven't done it in my Tacoma, but I was a passenger in an F-150 that started showing Negative miles to empty after we rode at 0 for a bit.

There is a reserve 3 gallons that was designed to keep the fuel pump submerged and cool. It is not recommended to use these 3 gallons regularly

Also. I had to disconnect the battery cables to install some light bling and when I hooked it back up the miles left jumped from 240 to 360 miles left. I figured it was the computer rebooting in kilometers

No way. My father and other relatives were miners. I still have a bit of MSHA stamped electrical tape.

Just reading this thread gives me anxiety, you guys are psychopaths. I get nervous when I get below 50 miles of range.
