    Hi all,

Has anyone successfully removed the entire dashboard from their taco? If so, can you share how difficult it was, how you figured it out, and why?

You remove everything you can touch, you start with apillar covers, then center console, then radio/hvac, glove box cluster, loosen or remove steering column, remove airbags and kick panels, remove tweeters then remove dash.

theres this one guy I have added on snapchat and he gutted the entire interior of his tacoma a few weeks ago. Its possible... I think

lots of pulling because everything is either clipped in or is held in with 10mm bolts, pins, screws or t30 torx screws

Some Bolt ones here and there
The passenger side air bags and trim around them are a complete PITA everything else is surprisingly easy to remove

If I can strip a truck down to the bare frame you can remove the dash, you just gotta believe

My curiosity is piqued as well. Thinking about drug smuggling, eh? :D

And it is not hard as in it's pretty straight forward, but it is a damn hassle mainly due to the limited workspace. I've been in and out of a few Tacomas and other Toyotas in the dash area running wires, removing ECU's, removing clusters. Never completely disassembled fully but pretty close a few times.

There is a video of dashboard removal. Removed to change heater core. Google it. Doesn't look like fun.
