    2010 Silver Tacoma, hoping for best color match, and of course a good finish.

    I tried Dr. Colorchip years ago. Worked OK on the plastic front bumper, but not the metal parts.

    I believe I used Dupli-Color from Advanced Auto.
    Worked great and matched just about perfect.
    Be sure to use the abrasive end to clean out the chip.
    I found using the pen end worked better. I don’t have steady enough hands to use the brush.

    I haven't tried this yet myself, but Langka looks interesting. I sounds like they use a solvent to "sand" the touch-up level with the surrounding surface.

    Depends on how big of an area. I also have a silver tacoma, and had the tailgate professionally painted last year. All paint fades in time, metalics especially so. I'm guessing you're talking about a very small area, it's just worth throwing out that you'll likely just make it look better or near perfect, but not perfect on a 10 year old truck.
