And a good reason to save the files that are doing the right stuff!

And to give them names that make sense.. and revision numbers.

Makes it a lot easier having multiple files to change instead of trying to remember what you just did and how to undo it

There's one variable I may not have thought of I don't remember if the first one I tuned was the stock 33 or if it was the stock 33 THX.... The performance test was based on a stock 33 the alive plus performance I believe may have been based off of stock 33 THX. I just copied those figures to the THX file to see if there is other things changed in it that resulted in my lesser performing throttle enhancements.

    ok @wahoobie

I think this brought back the snappier launch. At this point I'm so distraught I'm not sure what to believe. If you get the chance, try both the original Alive+Performance I shared first, and then this Performance Test 2.0 variation. I may have based the Performance Test tune off the 04B04_Reg_stock_33 while the Alive+Performance variation was based off the 04B04_Reg_Stock_THX_33. I apologize for misinforming you. I just moved all the increased inputs from the Performance Test and installed them into the Alive+Performance and called it Performance 2. It is in fact the exact same base tune now as my original tune, but with increased inputs. I'm unsure at this point if the increase is even noticeable from the original tune I shared. Sorry if I wasted anybody's time with this ROOKIE move!

My ultimate goal with this "performance" tune is to get the hard launch off the line with a slightly firm blip of the throttle. I still want to be able to accelerate "gingerly" when necessary, but have that off the line PUNCH when I request it. With the old 04B02 I had, the truck felt as if it was starting in second gear it was so sluggish. Such a LAG before it would go. I want it to feel like it's there when you ask it to be. Like a good neighbor... I felt I was pretty close with the tune in my Signature. I really do think having used a different Base tune is what did me wrong. No I'm just unsure if the new 2.0 is all that much better.

The answer is no. I made changes to the 2D Throttle positions, and NOTHING changed in the 3D throttle request tables. Must not be the same thing I'm screwing with here. I did try a 2D performance map tune as well. I'm going to run that before I make an ass out of myself again. I took the first three values in each gear and multiplied them by 125% the second three by 120% then 115% and finally 110%. Again, I'm trying to achieve a punch off the line when asked, but manageable throttle otherwise. I'll keep you posted.

    punch off the line...

i would say that's exactly how mine goes. it's aggressive at tip in and you need to back off the throttle quite a bit immediately as rpms rise, and it settles just right where you expect it to land. if you don't back off then it runs up first gear way too crazy and you spin tires.

this is in my '17 MT 04B14 on 2.0 SFOB Prem (93). i mention this because you may be able to reference tables in my or a similar tune to see if there's something to know.

then again i think a torque converter may steal all your punch, and you'll never see it. dunno.

Dude... Do you have the SFOB tune in VFT format? I could take a look at how the throttle values look and possibly figure this shit out yet! I'm sure there more to it with ignition timing, and valve position and so on that I'm too chicken shit to change, but I got closer to where I wanted to be once....

Just the highlighted section shown? Not all of the 800-2000?
Drop tab should be .99 or .82?

Sweet. I'm very curious. Appreciate it a lot!

I just tried my 2D map. Its pretty damn good.
Close to, and possibly even better than my Alive+Performance file!
    :)Dsmall confidence boost :D)

All I did was ran first 3 values up on the throttle limit normal gear tables by 125%, next 3 up 120%, next 3 up 115% and next 3 up 110%. Left the final values alone. I did this for all 6 gears. Raised everything up by percentages for simplicity. K.I.S.S.

I'll try to add it to my signature:fingerscrossed:
