I was wondering if anyone could help me with my SPC UCAs. I’m currently dealing with SPC on getting replaced since I’ve been hearing a weird knocking/ clunking sound coming from the driver side. They’ve admitted they sold a bad batch last year. They want me to loosen the long bushing bolt and record it to see if it makes any noise. I’m not mechanically inclined and don’t feel comfortable doing this myself and I was wondering if there was anybody local that can help me with this. I’m willing to pay. Here’s the email they sent me of what exactly they want me to do. If someone local, preferably in the San Fernando valley area could help me out, that would be greatly appreciated.

If its just loosening the UCA through bolt, it should be very simple, even for someone not too mechanically inclines. Two 19mm wrenches and some pb blaster.

Im way over on the east coast; wish i could lend a hand and help.

This vid shoes how to remove and replace UCA's, and it explains how to loosen the upper bolt at approx 5:40. Have a look and see if it makes sense.

No. The UCA upper through bolt does not affect alignment.
