Yes. There's a reason places like death valley have signs telling you to shut off your AC for the next 20 miles or so. Granted, it more applies to older or larger vehicles, but we don't live in a world where we can defy physics.

Not to mention come here to complain about their problems to see if anyone has had similar experiences or hopefully find a solution.

ambient temps WILL have a Direct effect on running temps

that needle gauge has a broad range

the engine is going to have diff temp ranges when ambient temps are 80....95......over 100 degrees

if its the same run each day & U have checked it out........fluids are up no worries

if U r passing thru keep an eye on gauge

The operating temperature zone on the gauge has a range for a reason. If the needle isn't going into the red or the engine isn't overheating (spewing coolant) then its probably working as designed.

I have a 2020 pro was running warmer then what I liked. I installed a 180 degree stat. Problem solved. However I do not live in a real hot climate area. [NY LOL.] But I noticed this summer when temps got up to 95, temp gauge would climb. When I hooked my scan tool up when engine temp was climbing temp was 224, to hot for my liking. Engine runs hot enough to go into closed loop now. Per scan tool never goes over 205 after stat replaced.. So for now I am leaving it as is.
