You'd know without any doubt if shingles hit your ear. Was like someone flipped a switch and all I could hear was ringing!

I have had that happen before but it's not continual ringing and will subside. Hmm... I'll have to try and pay more attention to when it happens.

Big birds do. I once dated a guy with a cockatoo that liked to cuddle. I was always terrified she'd peck my boob or something.

 

You have had issues with shingles no? If it happens and lasts more than a day or two get it checked. My Dr said there's only about a 7-10 day window where the steroids can significantly help. After that you basically get back what you're gonna get and that's all.

I've always wanted a parrot or cockatoo to teach words to. If you speak to it, it'll just tell people to "eff off" or "grab me a beer, peasant"

 

I’d rather have a dog. Birds are creepy.

 

We have new neighbors behind us with a bigger parrot of some type (have only seen a large cage on their deck).

Thing is pretty fucking noisy, has several different tunes it whistles, says "Bobby!" and "Claire" and other things I can't understand. Would never have one myself because, for the most part they NEVER shut the fuck up and are dirty as fuck.

 

Oh yeah. I knew someone who had one and it just seemed awful, especially if you're trying to sleep or enjoy peace and the darn thing won't shut up. Just start yelling at the bird "I will end you" and it just uses one of your old phrases against you, like "you won't no balls"
