nice, looks like you were chalk testing? that looks very evenly distributed. Would you mind sharing at what PSI you are inflating those KO2s? we have the exact same truck so should be about the same weight

lol no chalk testing, just dusty from my gravel driveway.

Not 100% sure what I was at in the pic, the shop had them at 35 psi, the next day I brought them down to 30 psi. Pretty sure I had them down to 30 in the pic though, which is what I’m still running them at.

I had 285/75/16 ko2's on my 17 OR got 60k out of them, wouldn't balance for sh>t, have 265/75/16 on the cfo's 18 Pro balance great. Both sets are E-load tires. Neither truck have been adversely affected by them so far. Still running e-loads on the OR just a different brand.

You mentioned something important about KO2's. From what I have read there really greasy on wet roads. I had a set on a 2007 Silverado 265/75/16. I almost lost control of my vehicle on a slick wet road going around a bend on the interstate. There not that great on wet roads.

I have a set of Goodyear Duratracs in 265/75/16. I have not noticed a hit to acceleration, the truck was never fast to begin with (V6).

I have noticed a 1 to 2 MPG drop in the city 1 mpg on the Highway, but last week on a road trip I was getting 21 MPG according to my display.
There a tad noisy, I don't think I will get another set I may go with with the Nitto Grapplers or Wild Peaks.

Edit my Duratracs are E rated.

I just put these on my brand new TRD OR. I also had some reservations after doing research after the fact, but I've but 350 miles on them and they seem fine?? I don't know about them riding "harshly" either, but my old Subaru used to make you piss blood after driving on parts of I5 :D

That size comes in C and E load, I choose E because I tow a trailer and don't mind a truck ride..

I bought it from a dear friend who bought it from the big classic auto auction before it went on the auction block. I fell in love with that car when he bought it about 5 years ago. Everything was completely redone, frame off restration. Everything is new, big block, 4 speed, 12 bolt posi traction, disk break car. It only has about 1000 miles on the build. I dunno man. Keep reading the same shit about KO2s , shitty on wet roads and hard to balance.

I had 2 sets and had 0 issues with balancing. The only time when i needed to re balance was when i lost a weight after going offroad.
IMHO wet traction is great. I had duratracs and they were absolutely horrible on wet roads, the lugs are so far apart the tire doesnt grip on road that well. I loved my duratracs in the snow though, wow they were amazing. Also offroad duratacs were great.

I think people hate on ko2s just like everyone hates the "bro" grille now. Its just so damn popular. Most of the tacos are running ko2s around here, but there is a reason why.

It is definetily one of the best AT tires.

    A few.
Technically, and I just recently noticed this myself, the OE version of those Goodyears that Toyota is using only weigh 35lbs.

I just installed BFG KO2 LT265/70R17 C-load yesterday and little noise difference from stock iso-metric 265/70R16 Goodyears. At +3.3 difference speedometer says 60 mph and actual speed is 62 mph.

I had set them for 32 PSI and had my first dealer appointment and they set them down to 30 PSI without asking. They actually set both on the driver side to 30 and the others on the passenger side to 29. Adjusted all to 30.0 PSI today for now.

BFG KO2 +3.3% LT265/70R17 C load and Canadian TRD Pro Style 17x8" +15 mm offset (stock wheel offset is +25 mm) No lift

I'm running the same thing. No loss in mileage, no problems.

I've run nothing but BFGs for over 35 years and have been very happy with them. Everything from KOs, to Radial T/As, Euro T/As, and Comp T/As. I keep buying them because they serve me well and last.

Also, don't put a P (passenger car) tire on your truck, use an LT (Light Truck) tire. If you are worried about the weight, use a C load. that is what I am using on both the Tacoma and Jeep right now. Unless you are wheelin in some sharp rocks or airing down a lot, you'll be fine. If you need the heavier tire, the truck will be fine. You will probably lose some mileage and a bit of braking and acceleration, but that's always the trade off.

One thing I'll say for D or E range tires is they do hold up if you get a puncture. I was going to Arizona and headed out the 10 in So Cal just west of Palm Springs in the fast lane doing 80-85 when I lost a tire (315/70/17 E) on my old truck to a metal object on the highway. The tire blew, but the heavy carcass kept the truck up and helped me keep control. The rim even survived undamaged. The fast lane on a 5 lane with everyone else doing 80 or so is no place to lose control. I got stuck in the emergency lane adjacent to the fast lane and had to call for a tow because it was far too dangerous to get out of the truck. The bedside and exhaust got torn up, but that's what insurance is for.
