What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Did a quick drivers side hub assembly swap and got all packed up to hit Potts Mountain in the morning.

Got my

$158 Uniden CMX760 Bearcat Off Road Series Compact Mobile CB Radio, 40-Channel Operation, Ultra-Compact for Easy Mounting, Large 7-Color Backlit LCD Display on Mic with Built-in Speaker Mic, Black

Uniden CMX760 cb installed. Well haven't mounted the mic yet but it's in the truck. Slid the brain under the cupholders and removed the cigarette lighter plug and used that for the power source.

Now I just need to mount the mic and get a blank plug cover to put over the lighter hole.

 

Been spending the past three nights wiring up my dual battery setup. Nothing too fancy here with just an isolator between the starter and aux battery in the bed. Will likely add 100W solar next month, but just roll with the alternator charging for my 3 week trip starting next week. This was pretty much a direct transfer over from my Subaru dual battery setup so I'm seeing there's definitely better DC-DC chargers, but the price was right already having everything but the wire in the garage.

test fit of fuse and isolator in the engine bay. Nice that to have these pre-drilled holes to mount. M8x1.25 30 if I remember right

I want those lights so bad but they don't make them for the 12 to 15 models. They look amazing!!!!! How is the output on them?

 

The Tacoma option is a lot less trouble.

Hunting down a rogue noise and removed the underseat storage bins to see if they were the cause. Might slap some sound-deadening material in there while they are out.

 

I’m not sure, I just ordered them yesterday but should be here sometime this week..

 

They’re from alpharex and just recently released them for the 2nd gens

 

Removed the front fairing on my roof rack and installed a Niilight 42" curved light bar. China special baby! Works good enough for me and was super budget friendly. Light bar, wiring harness and OEM style switch was only bout $100 total. Bonus is that my roof rack is waaaay quieter now! Winning!

 

Whats the expression? If it's got tits or tires you're going to have trouble with it? Just depends on much you're wanting to spend.
