So I've been looking around for a 3/2 lift. I'm wanting to run 275/70/17 falkens a/t3's and I'm thinking about these wheels https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07ZTTTBPT/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A23ID4AZTDBV78&psc=1 The most all around'ish lift I can find that would be decent is the https://skyjacker.com/shop/toyota/t...-struts-and-rear-blocks-and-black-max-shocks/ skyjacker one. Comes with what seems to be a decent setup with Shocks all around, UCA's and the drop brackets. Does this look like a good setup? Picks of the wheels for you.

My experience with 285s and a no longer installed 3/1 spacer lift would have me recommend a Cab Mount Chop, pinch weld hammered and you may have to trim the inner fender wells if you plan on doing any moderate off-roading. They rub with articulation of the suspension.

A three inch front lift will cause your CV angles will be increased, and can lead to premature CV joint wear, and be less robust in right radius turns. Also the needle bearing that supports the driver side front axel inside the diff may start to vibrate, as the increased CV angles, plus the increased unsprung weight due to the 285 tires, puts loads on the bearing it was not designed to mitigate. Most people, including myself, opt for installing the ECGS bushing to replace the needle bearing.

Edit: I just noticed the kit includes a ‘diff drop’ as did my 3/1 kit. Just know it only drops the front of the diff, and changes the pinion angle of the front driveshaft. I didn’t notice any additional vibrations, but raising the front 3 inches and dropping the diff 1 inch, would still net you the same clearance as just a 2 inch lift.

I’m not a fan of the rear block lift. I didn’t like the way it made the rear of the truck handle, but I was on stock shocks when I was using them. A much better option are the add-a-leaf kits out there, like this one from Headstrong, there are other manufacturers too, or a full leaf pack if you have deeper pockets. I love my Deavers! At 2 inch rear lift, you are beginning to look at possibly getting longer rear break lines, depending on how much droop this set up has.

Most of the people I’ve talked to recommend not going over 2 inches of front lift, to avoid the above issues.

If you are going for a certain “look,” plan on being on pavement most of the time, and don’t mind a little tire rubbing every so often when entering steep driveways. The kit you linked would be a great low cost option.

The wheels have the correct offset, but check the center hole diameter, you may need a spacer if it is larger than the Toyota hub diameter, which I don’t remember off the top of my head.

    Happy Modding :bananadance:
