Wildfire Smoke affecting my intake filter?

    Hey everyone on the west coast, hope you’re staying safe and I am truly praying for those caught in these god forsaken fires. I’m north of Seattle and the smoke is so bad you wake up every morning with a sore throat and a headache.

    My question is do you guys think this smoke negatively affects our intakes or engines? I did notice my mpg go down significantly since the wildfire smoke rolled in but it’s Prbly a coincidence

    If you got or are getting a lot of ash fallout it might be good to change it after things die down a bit. It’s a $20 part.

    I just checked my cabin and engine filters yesterday. There was definitely more ash on the cabin air filter. Engine air filter was surprisingly clean.
