    New to TW and want some frank input on RCI Sliders. Do some moderate trails in Colorado and have banged up dealership-added Predator steps. Remove steps and:
    • Bank on additional clearance, --or--
    • Add sliders and sleep soundly?

    Agreed. I've taken a few hits, with a couple in spots I didn't think I needed any protection. Worth the investment if you get off pavement.

    This is not me obviously but I had already done this part and was taking pics of the group that went with us. Typical of what we do. Sliders and skids are highly recommended!!

    what paint is best for touch-up work on skid plates & sliders. (black powdercoat)?

    I just use black Acrylic brush on. It’s on the underside anyhow so I don’t care it it matches. It’s just so it doesn’t start resting when I scrape them down to the steel.
