Another AC Blower motor gone bad?

Had AC blower motor replaced by Toyota under warranty in late 2018. New one has began to make noise too. I’m at 47k, so Toyota says it will not be covered.

Shouldn’t the new one they installed at 25k carry some sort of warranty? How difficult is it to replace yourself? Any higher quality ones out there that won’t fail every other year?

Its only 12 months unlimited miles on new parts and your bumper to bumper is done

 

You could have had your AC blower repaired at 35000 miles and it would have only been warrantied till 36000 miles when B to B warranty ended. No additional coverage is given to a repair done under B to B. If you had paid out of pocket than you would receive some warranty on the repair such as 12 month/12,000 miles.

 

Piece of cake to replace yourself.

A little preventative maintenance might help also. I crimped an Oetiker clamp onto the spindle, where the plastic fan attaches to the motor, to help prevent the issue.
I leave my fan on low all of the time, unless I need more airflow, and so far I haven't had any issues. I chose that type of clamp to try to keep everything balanced.
