I'm not offended, but it is amusing to see someone like yourself make up wild shit, then try to pass it off as factual information, without providing supporting documentation.

I've got a slow day before I deploy for hurricane relief. I'm glad you are giving me something to do. What exactly is wild? I'm really slow so can you please give me some sort of information I can look at besides your cute gif? How does the system work? We could actually have a real conversation and learn something if you would act like a real person. I'll start.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rad...ar system has a,and penetrate into the target.
Look at the first few paragraphs under principles. The plastic in front of the grill sensor is designed to be virtually undetected by the sensor. If it is detected, the dirty lens light comes on. The pro grill drops the sensor by about two inches. There is another portion of the ACC behind the rear view mirror. Changing the height of the grill sensor changes the relationship between the two. The car in front of your truck is the third point of the triangle. Enter the pythagorean theorem. That is why your following distance changes. If you have a lift and change the grill it may change things past the computers ability to compensate and there light may come on. Otherwise you don't need to recalibrate unless you don't like the way it's working. My truck changed for the better so no recalibration was needed.

The Achilles heel of a good argument. I've obviously stumbled into the wrong place

    Haha

Isn't the washer-for-spacer thing behind the garnish to correct the angle?

I've enjoyed it so thanks hope your evening perks up

You still have not provided any facts about how the system works. Lots of other good information though.

    Bull shit.

I appreciate the good wishes. We are having a good time with this here at work. The spacer trick didn't do a thing on my truck. I guess you shouldn't listen to wild crazy crap on an internet forum with no supporting evidence.

As per the owners manual, the camera behind the mirror is for Lane departure warning and the radar (solely the radar) is for adaptive cruise.

I've not claimed to know exactly how it works.

I do recognise bull shit when I see it.

I'm not exactly sure how the system works, I just know the washer shim fix works. I added 4 washers behind mine and the sensor error went away. The theory has been the angle changes when you go from OEM to faux Pro grill. Adding the washers corrects the change in angle and the error goes away. Some have the issue, some don't when adding the Pro grill. It appears to be hit or miss.

I have the adaptive cruise and TSS. I’m fairly certain that there are gnomes that live behind the grill. They have a Leica range finder that they use to measure distances. I’m not sure how they modulate the the throttle. I’ll have to ask them next time I have the hood up.

My garnish is only held in by the bottom clips because the top clips are broken. I've had it like that for a year with no issues.
