New member, new taco owner, getting to know the second gen tacos fairly intimately

2010, access, SR5 V6 4x4

Nephew side swipe a mailbox and a week later backed into a goose neck trailer
It was quoted as two separate instances and added up to nearly 10k. The cross sill and the panel were proving to be the hardest to find. Good luck finding an aftermarket sill and OEM is 6 hundred and something bucks. Luckily I found one for $100 bucks on a 2015. Just gotta go pull it. Also got a blower motor off the same truck for $20.

I did learn the cross sill typically goes with the box assembly. So I searched (salvage) for tail gates and looked for the ones that had bad panels on both sides...then said, Hey, your gonna have trouble selling that box, lemme get that cross sill.

I also got a color match tailgate with all the hardware for $300. Huge score there because all new parts and pieces and paint is almost 2 grand.

Needless to say, salvage has been good to me.

I will post when I get all the parts and pieces and put it together. Gonna be a few months because the young nephew is learning how expensive vehicles are. Especially when he realizes he basically pimped out my truck for what he could have spent on a truck of his own. LoL
I am thinking I can get the majority of it taken care of for between 3 & 4K
