Up in the last pic I posted in post 7, you can see my leaf pack. There are 7. Go check your leaf pack and just count them. In Canada they come stock with 4, but some models in the US come stock with 3 I believe (off road models). You probably have 4. There will be one flat one on the bottom (the overload leaf) and three above that. If you're unsure, take a pic and post it. Someone will be able to help you out. Either way though Id say get the TORTUN4L.

Also when you are looking for an answer either reply to a post by clicking on 'quote' or type the members name with an @ in front of it to tag the person so they get an alert. Otherwise they likely won't see your question. @1sttaco06

Thanks for the heads up about the quote thing, I didn't know that. And thanks for taking the time to answer these questions.

I just went out and counted, and I only have 3 leafs compared to your 7! Why do you have so many, and thats obviously another aftermarket part. Is that why I am sagging so much?

Dakar leaf pack I installed with a full suspension upgrade I did this past year.

A lot of people with a 3 leaf pack had an extra leaf installed at the toyota dealership. They put out a service bulletin (TSB) to address this. I think it was a free-of-charge thing but I'm not sure, and I'm not sure if you'd still be eligible. I'm not the guy to ask. Maybe someone else will chime in here. I would get an extra leaf installed if possible, in addition to the Timbrens. Going to ride a tiny bit stiffer but will handle weight much better. If you can't get one installed free through Toyota look into some of the AAL's (add-a-leafs) available through the vendors on here like Wheelers.

I have the same as what taczilla posted. Except, instead of filling them through a valve when I need to, I have the automatic leveling kit installed.

Both my neighbors have Tacoma's with sled-decks and, obviously, sleds.

They have airbags and really like it.

You can. If you find (as you likely will) that the truck has to sag too much before coming into contact with, and engaging the Timbren, you add a few Timbren spacers (like pucks) and use a longer centre bolt. I’d speak with someone at Timbren or wherever you order it, to make sure you get a few extra spacers and the appropriate bolts.

I just threw a pair on an f350 and initially used a spacer, then took it all off to go without the spacer. It’s easy as piss.

you want about an inch or an inch and a half gap when the trucks unloaded. The smaller the gap, The higher the back end will sit when the camper is on and the more you’ll engage it when unloaded but it’s not that harsh.

Taczilla, I'm looking to install same system on my '03, first thing I read in the instructions is this - "IMPORTANT: Your vehicle may be equipped with a rear brake proportioning valve. Any type of load assist product could affect brake performance. We recommend that you check with your dealer before installing this type of product. If your vehicle DOES NOT have a rear brake proportioning valve or is equipped with an antilock type brake system, installation of a load assist product will have NO EFFECT ON BRAKE SYSTEM PERFORMANCE.

I have the proportioning valve and am wondering how this applies to my '03?

    Any help would be great!

    Thanks, wbfotos

I wouldn't worry about it. That's a common disclaimer by the manufacturer to protect themselves from stupid.
