My old trusty 1995 T100 was t-boned and totaled by an elderly lady who ran a red light. No one was injured seriously but it was hard to part with the T100 (see photos of damage). Anyway, I'm looking to get a 2020 SR5, 4WD, V6, 6'foot bed, access cab. I'm leaning toward the Silver Sky Metallic OR the Magnetic Gray Metallic. Are there any "must have" options I should also be considering?

Welcome! T100's are rare, I wish I had one lol. I'm not sure what you're interested in, but runningboards are always a nice thing to have on a pickup. If you're here to modify and build it out, TacomaBeast sells some pretty good parts https://tacomabeast.com/.

Welcome! Only factory thing I wanted was the bed mat. A must if you ever put anything in the bed. The composite bed is slick

Welcome aboard! The one option I wanted when I bought my SR Access Cab was a bed extender, I had one in my previous truck and after negotiating told them to throw in the bed extender it was a deal, and they did, installed it for me too. Handy for longer loads when extended, and when folded into the bed it makes a handy Light Cargo storage divider at the back of the truck.Easy to remove as well.

Ive mostly used my taco for hauling lumber, brush, etc and the slick bed is great for loading/unloading that. Gonna be moving some stuff soon and thinking about picking up a bed mat- easy to remove when needed, just roll it up I presume?

I miss the 6' bed of my old truck, but the bed extender adds another foot beyond that so my 5' bed is a 7' bed. I second this suggestion.

I had similar damage to my 1994 Hilux when a semi hit a silverado (frame bent into a Z), which hit a Ford Escort, which t-boned me to break the axle away just like that in 2008. Very sad, since that truck ran just as nice as the day I drove it away from the dealership in 1994.

Driving a 2008 Tacoma today, and it also runs as well as the day I drove it off the lot. If history repeats itself, it's due to be hit and totaled in 2022. :(

Thanks everyone for you comments and suggestions. I know i definitely want the bed mat and running boards. Maybe the bed extender as well. I'm seriously thinking about getting the double cab vs. the access cab but not sure at this point.

My top choice for color is the Silver Sky Metallic and my backup is the Magnetic Gray Metallic.

    Welcome.
There are a few things I'd get but it depends on what you do with the truck.
Bed mat is on thing I really like. Things tend to slide around in the bed a lot. If you are going to drive with a few things in there often then the mat keeps things in place better. It's really grippy.

I'd say choose a Tonneau cover too those aren't for everyone. Maybe you like a camper top or prefer to go uncoved.
