I have a 2016 TRD Off Road, and every time I switch into “S” mode the truck automatically goes into 4th gear. Is anyone else having that problem, and is there a remedy to fix it?

Okay. Bummer it doesn’t automatically adjust to the gear it is in based off the speed. Thanks

By kicking it out of overdrive you get a power boost. Nice trick when you want to accelerate on a freeway.

That doesn’t mean the truck is necessary in 4th. It will be limited to 4th gear until you change it.
You could be going 10mph and jump to S mode and it will show S4 but you may be in 2nd gear. As you go faster it’ll shift gears but then stay at 4 unless you change it if that makes sense.
