Like I've seen a couple people mention...driving up to a couple states over would probably be the best bet. There's a volume dealer in Hickory, NC called Mike Johnson's. I bought my truck there back when the 3rd Gen was first released and got it for 32.5K before tax. Anyway, I looked on their website and they've got a handful of fairly priced TRD models, including a MT in OR and Sport. They don't do a lot of haggling, but again they're already pricing them fairly. It's hard to find a Tacoma over 40K at this place, and if you do its gonna be a Pro.

I routinely get 20mpg in my stock Taco, especially if I'm in the mountains driving 55.

    OP here,

I bought a new 2020 DCSB TRD OR in Silver today. It's been hell working with all these dealers and seriously got into it with the Manager.... but, its all over now and I have the truck I want... and after all the BS I went through to get it, I'm keeping this one until the wheels fall off.

If you can't find a deal on something, you're buying the wrong product.

    Toyota's are too damn high.

OP, I'm glad you were able to finally get the truck you wanted, I'm sure you'll enjoy it for a long time!

On a slightly related note it's not just Tacoma's which are in high-demand right now. I'm trying to buy a new car trailer so I can tow one of my cars to Utah (and back) next month (it's an annual off-roading vacation my friends and I take each year). All of the trailer places in So.Cal. are sold-out. Even if you can find one it's MSRP or they'll sell it to one of the four guys in-line behind you. Old, worn-out car and Utility trailers are selling for what new ones are because they're available and don't even get me started on RV's. Weird times. I'm hoping things calm-down in the spring.

I just got mine a few days ago. I didn’t know the market all that much but I got my silver 2019 Trd sport 4x4 for 32 otd. 16k miles mint condition. Straight from Toyota dealership. Graduated from my 1987’ Toyota pickup lol.

    Since we’re talking deals...

    2016 TRD OR - $22,8 OTD

Bought it last week. Drove 15 hours to snag it. 148,000 miles new. Nothing else across America came anywhere near the price of this 3rd gen that I could find. Heck, most 2nd gen TRD OR trucks were more expensive.

This will be my 7th Tacoma.
