Even the trail ambassadors said the trail is harder this year than any year before. There jamborees did not happen this year. The rock rollers have not groomed the trail in over a year. So the trail was brutal and the LT independent suspension rocked it like a boss! I had veteran spotters to guide me through. The truck did get some damage up Cadillac. Overall had an awesome time.

Felt extremely accomplished once we got over Cadillac Hill (Just slashed a tire going up it)

285s, Full front skids (Needed Gas/Diff)
A locker would have been extremely helpful
    2.5 inch lift was plenty

First time going through it this year (probably last until I build a full crawler that I don’t care about denting up)

I’m right there with you. I can now say the Tacoma got her badge. But going to buy a Cherokee to go beat up that I don’t mind denting up. The question everyone was asking was why do you want to take that beautiful truck and scratch and dent it up? Cuz this truck is no Poser and no fkn mall crawler! Sometimes you got to say F it. And see what your vehicle is capable of. Or maybe I just need a check up from the neck up.. lol

Ha ha on the trail they all point and ask .. Is that a trophy truck? Man I’ll bet that truck flys through this trail. Do you work for Toyota? Are we allowed to take pictures? I feel so fortunate to drive this truck as my daily driver. The truck is the celebrity and I’m just along for the ride. We did take allot of video for my YouTube channel Superhero Jerky. And some social media for BFG , Raceline Wheels, Wilwood.

Haha SAME! I’m at the point where I am upgrading to 35s so my truck is currently sitting at home. Once I do all the cutting and trimming and actually get the 35s installed, it’ll probably be undriveable until I get a regear o_O

I absolutely love that paint scheme! Ivan was my hero back in the day and one of the reasons I bought my first Toyota.
Your truck looks more like a Class 7s or a prerunner than a rock crawler. Have you ever done a write up on your set up? I would be interested in the truck's biology. You don't see a lot of trucks - even in so Cal where there is a lot of desert trucks - running Baja T/A KRs.
    Super cool ride my friend.
*Edit* I noticed the "Chase Truck" on your windshield.

That’s awesome! I chickened out a few months ago because I’m still on 33s. Lol. I Also wanted a beater but then there’s something cool about wheeling something that’s still a bit unusual. 3rd gens are not heavily wheeled like jeeps so it’s nice to be the oddball.
