Hey all - I just picked up a 2007 TRD Sport 4x4 with the Towing Package. The truck currently has ~2" lift. PO doesn't know what the shocks/springs are and it definitely has an aftermarket leaf pack. Again, no markings as to brand/specs. I want to keep a 2" lift.

    I'm going to use this for traveling (50%), towing/hauling (25%), and outdoorsy/offroad (25%).

What is a "great" suspension setup to prevent sag and when towing, but also have a "great" ride?

    My initial thoughts:
    Shocks: Bilstein 5100 all around
Springs: OEM in front (if I can find a good set)
    Leaf: ??
    Air Bags: ??

From what I've read - correct me if I'm wrong - I could go with a good progressive leaf pack for comfortable driving but also add air bags, and pump up the airbags when towing. Is this correct?

    Welcome to TW.
Pics of said unknown suspension would help identify it.
This^^^^^ not a car and will not ride like a car no matter what suspension you put on it. It's a mid size truck.

Oh dang - my bad...”truck”...this is the first non-sedan I’ve owned. Still new to everything in the truck world!
I’ll post pics this weekend when the weather is better!

you go off-roading 90 days out of the year? If that’s the case I’d spring for a SUA and long travel setup with air bumps
