2016 Tacoma Lift Kit?

    Hey Everyone - I am looking to add a lift kit and new wheels and tires to my 2016 Tacoma 4dr. I know nothing about how to do this and will be sending all the parts, etc...to a trusted mechanic I've been working with on our cars for close to 20 years.

    With that said, he mentioned not to go with a kit that will raise the truck more than 2" since doing so, would require me to change a host of other parts, etc..which I don't want to do. We need new tires and I'm using this excuse to make the truck look a lot cooler :)

    Doing a bit of research, I found this kit and wondered if I am on the right track?

    Also, where would I max out on overall diameter for the wheels with the 2” lift. I believe that this determines what size wheels and then tires I need to order.

    PS - we live in Lake Tahoe...

    One of the more common 2" lifts most people get on a budget are either Bilstein 5100 or Eibach pro kit. If money is no issue than look at King, Fox, Icon to name a couple of the big dogs.

    Great budget lifts 2” range Bilstein 5100’s , eibach. Go with an AAL or 3 leaf aal and your good. Low maintenance on these kits if any.

    5100’s all around 2”front lift rear 1.5” aal
    IMO can’t go wrong with Bilsteins or eibach for great lifts.

    Awesome thank you appreciate it. Tires are 265/75/16 Yokohama X-AT. IMO still look good on subtle lifts. It’s my every day plus weekend warrior works out perfect for me. See your from Tahoe Beautiful there. We’ve been wanting to come up to Tahoe for a while now damn it. Maybe when we head up eventually we can meet up hit some mild trails. Hit up a dispensary LOL.
