It happens. I was shotting real bad a few weeks back out of now where. Take a few days off then check again.

Any time i start shooting and the shots are going everywhere but where you want them first thing i check is grip and anchor point. Make sure those are spot on for each shot and groups will tighten up.

I shoot one arrow, go get it, then shoot it again. Not because I have the Robin Hood problem (nothing to worry about here), but it gives me a chance to rest between shots.
Also, I don't shoot field points so I'm only dulling one broadhead.

I shoot mechanicals. They are crazy hard on targets and fleching lol. Shoot field points right up until a few weeks before season then i shoot one mechanical and one field point right behind it. If theyre hitting real close i continue shooting fields.

Leading in to season i try to shoot 60-80 arrows every morning. I would destroy a target in a hurry.

You probably have longer shot opportunities though, mine are generally under 30 in this thick CRP shit.

Ill take some pictures in October. Going to hunt Mule deer in the badlands. 40-50 yd shots are common. Hard to stalk in closer for a gimmie shot.

i shoot 40 for my own practice.

30 is my limit with string jumping possibilities.

    This is 40
40 is a long way for an old blind guy that shakes like a scared puppy

Yeah i try to get out to 60 yrds once a week. Drive out to the gun/archery range. 30 yrds is most i can do in my backyard. Id have to walk out to the front of the house and stand on the side walk to get 40 or better.

    To many, but never done
If you slowly move into your target and release it may help instead of pulling and holding on same spot.
Course this doesn't work out all the time because of obvious reasons.
I don't hunt alot but I used to do competition with moving and stationary targets using recurve and compound.
Also speed shooting may help, grab a few arrows pull and shoot as fast as you can.
I recommend starting at like 20 yards with this if you don't have experience speed shooting.

I'll definitely try the easing into the target. The speed shooting might kill me though. Thanks!

No worries, I didn't know this thread even existed.
I'm 39 now been shooting since I was 6 competitively. I stopped competition about 20 years ago but still shoot for fun.
I'm definitely not as good as I used to be in my 20s but I can still hit dimes at 30 yards:rofl:

Oh i almost forgot, I hate mechanicals.
They don't seem to have nearly the same results as fixed broadheads.
I believe that they do work but I seem to get better results with the later.
