2016 Tacoma Off-Road

I have a 2016 TRD OR Tacoma. I don't even use the damn charging pad!! One day I was placing my gum on the charging pad and I noticed a bump. I never toggle the button for the pad to be functional also.

Anyone else experience the issue? How to resolve it? All I read online is to take it to the dealership...
