I've only been a Tacoma owner for about 2 months.

After spending the first week reading, I figured I'd get some cans of either FF of WW.

The reviews I read for FF were like "good stuff, kinda stinky."

The reviews I read for WW were like "good stuff, and a little thicker and less stinky than FF."

I ordered several can of WW.

Haven'r applied it yet. The dealer is supposed to treat my frame (CRC recall) in October.

I bough it by the gallon when I used FF from Kellsport.

Your dealer will thank you if you apply the Wool Wax after they do their thing.

I can’t imagine spraying a whole truck with rattle cans but I know a lot of people do it with great success.
When I used FF before and cranked my compressor up to 80 psi the FF would come out really fast and get pushed into all the nooks and crannies. It has complete coverage. One of the most important areas is that blocked frame area. You can stick the nozzle up in there and blast it really well. It’s actually fun blasting that stuff with a compressor. It only takes me about 1/2 hr.

A 6 gal pancake compressor is all you need. Your constantly repositioning and making quick burst so the compressor has plenty of time to catch up.

If you’re storing it and not using the equipment it will work perfect for you. Guys use it on their snow plows, but have to apply it again after each use.

did you get just the 'regular' strength product or the LV grade that is supposedly a bit thinner for cavity areas not prone to much roadwash

Hi all - New Tacoma owner here - Only had her for about three weeks now. Scheduled to have a Woolwax applied in about two weeks. Any tips as far as what to coat or what to avoid having sprayed ? Anything I should emphasize to the shop doing the work?

Exhaust , brake rotors (obv) I would avoid , I use fluid film and pretty much spray everything I can see , touch , reach , every nook . Spray inside the bumper , trailer hitch drop the spare tire and spray where the spare is and spare also lol . Inside frame . I used cans so I used the straw to spray in the bottom of the doors (drain holes) . Spray everything lol . I took the tail gate cover off and sprayed inside and put the cover back on

Pressure wash and drop the spare a day before unless they are going to.

Fortunately it’s Super clean and hasn’t even seen rain. Trying to keep it clean and dry before it is sprayed. I like the idea of removing the spare. Thank you. What about the shock absorbers? Any reason they need to be coated ? I was thinking of taping them off.

They can spray around them , I sprayed my front springs but it didn’t really stick . Maybe the wool wax would stick better , I want to use it next season . The fluidfilm I sprayed lasted really well in my opinion and did stick to places I didn’t think it would hold up (a arms) . Tel them to look for boxed sections of the frame (I don’t know if 3rd gens do ?) and spray inside ! If you lay under the truck looking up inside the wheel wells in the rear you can see up inside of the fenders , I sprayed up inside there too . Basically anywhere I could reach and or shoot the stuff . Some places you might be able to see but can’t reach , I just sprayed it best I could

spray the spare tire chain and the mechanism that raises and lowers the spare tire also

On the second gen the cross member has holes in it and I also used the straw tip to spray inside there too

 I'm so glad we don't have to deal with rust, undercoating, and road salt in the south. The only downside here is the heat and the sun take their toll on anything plastic and rubber, and also many A/C compressors get fried here in the summer.:bananadead: Every once in awhile we get a northern vehicle in the shop and I'm like .
