    It is WITHOUT the filter.

    It’s 5.5qt WITH filter

    5.5qt = 5.2L

    The good old metric system.

I once rewired an engine harness with high temp stereo wire thinking, well at least this lists a temp range. :duel:

Well, it may not run good.
But it should at least sound good?
    Sounds logical enough

This isn't a dig on you OP, but I still can’t figure out how this even happens? Can someone explain this to me? Isn't this the third time this week alone?

Only thing I can come up with in my mind is fathers are not kicking the kids off x-box and showing them some simple maintenance on vehicles.

My 9 & 11 year old girls probably know more about vehicles than some adults and have worked pretty hard for the money they have in the bank.

Want extra money...get your asses out and wash the car/truck. 2/4 years old

    bysv.jpg
    cv.jpg

Wanna drive the rock crawler...better help build it. 4 years old

    hyh.jpg jgf.jpg

You're hungry...make dinner then (this was an awesome steak dinner) 5 years old.

    bt.jpg

Driving the crawler and destroys a 600.00 tire....priceless. 11 years old.

I work with a few mid thirties men that have never changed their own brake pads/rotors on a vehicle. Mind blowing.

Youngest daughter learning how to set sag on my 450, and even ended up learning how to change springs on a shock.

It’s funny you say this. My dad before we could take the cars had to know how to change the oil, change a tire etc. Wanted to take the boat out. Had to know how to back up the trailer, load/unload the boat, hook up the trailer etc. there was always a lesson to be learned. Way to many cream puffs nowadays eyes glued to the tv, Xbox on there phone. At least op caught it quick and will get a little ribbing from us. Also love seeing your kids learning , that’s awesome!!

You can’t mess up, if you don’t try.
You need to pull the dipstick and look at the oil level next time.
If you had done that, you’d likely seen the mistake before you started the truck.

We all make mistakes, it’s good you tried.
I wouldn’t let it deter you from preforming other maintenance yourself.
No reason to quit over a mistake. It happens.

I get that, but don’t dive in blindly either.

One of my friends is out of warranty on his tow rig and will not pay the hourly rate for repairs. Guess what he did?

You're fine. You didn't drive far enough to do any damage.
The only thing you did today, was learn a good lesson.

    lol

Like when you’re 20’ up on a ladder in the summer sweating your balls off cutting the 120V gutter heater cables off the roof the previous owner installed when you find a strange one that doesn’t seem to branch off the others and you know you should just climb down to grab your multimeter juuuuuuust to make sure there’s nothing there before you snip it but you’re like “no I’m good I shut the breaker off” but back in your mind you’re thinking “what if it’s on another breaker? Nah, they wouldn’t be that stupid” and you cut the wire anyways when it would have just taken you literally like 30 seconds to be CERTAIN....

Yeah, you’ve got a LOT of life ahead of you to make a lot more dumber mistakes dude.

    It's a secret
22yrs ago, I was 14 and my older brother was 21, we got into a racing simulation videogame on the original PlayStation called Gran Turismo...from that game we learned about tuning and performance modification which lead to our own real-world legwork in reserching and tinkering with my brother's (at the time) latest '99 Honda Civic EX...from then on he and I have been motorheads, thanks to a videogame...

...and never had to change blinker fluid once!

I mean to be fair, I had a Hanes manual next to me and did everything else correctly, no stripped bolts, no broken anything, I just hit the wrong plug. A big mistake, yes, but its not like I YOLO'ed this and dropped 14 quarts of oil till it was coming out of the cap then drove away with no plug in the bottom.

It's a stupid mistake, and hopefully wont sink me lol

Are you sure about the oil/grease? Look in the Ugly’s manual.
