Are there any other bed racks compatible with the tonneau cover brackets? Just curious.....

RCI makes a bracket for their stuff. Raises it a bit higher (3 inches?). Also uptop overland makes a rack that will go into the t slot rails for a retrax pro or whatever model that has the slotted rails.

 

I have pro mx retrax. They want 300 bucks for new rails. I don't want to change the rails if I can just run brackets for a rack. Will be running a RTT aswell.

 

150 for the brackets on both rci and voodoo, so I would really say its only a 150 bucks extra for the tslot rails.

that being said, the brackets CAN be a pain. They sit below my retrax side rails and essentially lifts it up the thickness of the bracket so there is some water intrusion. Whereas if I had the tslot and a rack that went in there it would be able to sit flush against the sides and fully seal. That being said, I also wonder how stable it would be mounting to the side rails and a RTT on top. My rails seem a bit flimsy, but I would imagine the rack itself helps give it some structure.

 

That was part of my concern. I heard the xr rail are kinda week and bend..... my rtt is also an xl size cause I have an access cab and wanted to have one the size of the bed.......

 

As of now, I only know of uptop overland that does it through the t slots. Everyone else uses a more traditional bracket to bedrail system. Uptop is quite local to me, and I've seen a good amount of trucks running their stuff around here. Never hands on, and they look beefy as hell, so I doubt there is any real risk there. If the t slots and a rack could not support wheeling with a RTT, I don't think they would make it. I would reach out to them if you decided to go that route though.

 

I’d love it if I could sneak a bracket under my tonneau, I’m just a few inches too long. Or at least get some type of easy to remove track mounted bracket that goes here. Any thoughts?
