[Solved] Tom Wood Drive shaft Install

I watched the Tacoma Beast video and that’s basically the only install video for our Tacoma’s with the Tom Wood shaft but the sliding piece goes to the back is this correct? On the rear diff? Pic for reference sorry if I’m not naming it correctly.

Right but mostly jeeps, I see in the Tacoma Beast video it’s to the back but I want to be sure before I bolt this thing up

 

I think all the videos I linked are on tacomas.

 

Gotcha cool I thought it went to the back but wanted to double double check never can be too sure lol

You are correct it goes to the back.

 

Got it thanks! I understand now why it goes to the back for the rear end flex etc

 

Make sure your u-jounts are timed right.

 

Huh? I have the instructions for this and it’s a bolt in application it doesn’t say anything about timing?

 

You must be talking about the front DS I’m doing the back

 

The driveshaft will come assembled and balanced. Don’t pull the slip yoke apart and you won’t have a problem.

 

Just make sure the u-joints are facing the same way. The yokes should be pointed in the same direction. If you haven't slid it apart you should be fine.
