Once I grab some ammo, I'll check the manufactures websites for ballistic charts.

Checked out a few forums and general consensus seems to be that 1.5" - 2" high at 25 should be good at 100.

Depending on ammo I would probably sight in 1/2” high at 25 max. Here is a forum talking about a savage 220 20ga with accutip sabots. They said sighting in dead on at 25 will put you on at 100. When I used a ballistic calculator with a 1.5” scope height it put you 1” low at 100 sighting in dead on at 25 with accutip sabots so sight in 1/4” high.

Went with an inexpensive Bushnell Banner Shotgun scope 1.5 - 4.5 x 32 for the Savage 220. Saw a few videos on youtube with folks running them. A couple were by Savage. Other reviews seem solid/positive too.

Also ordered some of the Winchester slugs, some of those Remington Accu-Tips and some Hornady SST. All 2 3/4". One of the 3 ought to work well.

Hey, they're inexpensive but I shot several deer with a Bushnell Banner. No misses, no wounding.

Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
Got my first 8 last night. Had a bad shot (confirmed today the scope was off and fixed), but didn't find it until this morning. No blood and only saw some initial spatter of grass from the gut shot. Ended up 1/4 mile into the woods from the shot. Going to get a skull mount done.

Congrats!! I did my own euro last year. Not hard at all if you got a turkey fryer and a pressure washer.

once its boiled for a bit you hit it with a pressure washer and all the meat and whatever just falls off. Just need to be careful around those nasal cavities on the sides. You don't want to hit those straight on with the jet.
