I'm just messin', I ain't nobody. I might have been one of the people they were arguing at, not like I was trollin' or anything :anonymous:

There's always at least one trouble maker in the bunch. You just happened to be right outta the gate this time Erik. :smack:

Ive noticed a recent trend in the past few days... people calling others by their real names. I love it. Rob, Keep it up.

** my father does this when he goes to restaurants, he usually gets top service when he uses the waiters name when talking to them.

Without doxxing myself, I am intimately involved in the design side of this business. It looks like an intelligent cost savings change that I'm sure doesn't hinder performance whatsoever, just makes springs incompatible between years

First and foremost, it shows respect Erik. It also makes them feel special just by hearing someone say their name. It's a way to show that the interaction is personal. I'm older, and it's just how I was raised. We were taught at an early age what not having manners or respect could mean. Before it was considered bad to reprimand a child. Your Dad sounds like a wise and very considerate man. My wife Debbie and I have both worked in that industry in the past. It's a job and should be like any other job, but can be somewhat demeaning depending on the customer. I will usually introduce both of us to them. Being polite is a lost art in America. Not so much in other countries. Visiting them is all the proof you need.

It seems different now but a lot people didn't post up their name when I joined. I can respect that too. I always felt privileged to learn anonymous members names through personal conversations. I keep it that way. Some people feel the need to let others know that they know it. To me, it shows a lack of respect, and the complete opposite of being personal. If they wanted everyone to know their name they would post it.

If they sell them to me with a warranty stating that 2020 springs won't damage my 2019 suspension I will sure help them save cost.

Unless you change the perch to the 2020 model then you cannot use the 2020 spring. If you do you will probably dig a nice hole in the current perch with that open spring end.

My original quote to your reply "are you by any chance a Toyota engineer" was meant to be completely sarcastic and comical. Some may say they (those engineers) might not be sensitive to the needs/wants of the masses and are only in all of this for the money. Take for instance, the recent conspiracy regarding the missing tranny cooler. Apparently someone decided it was non-essential. They have stopped adding it to the Tacomas with the towing package.

I've been working for an engineering firm for 27 years that's been in business for 100 years. I completely understand how the all mighty dollar drives design. Recently we've decided to change some of our original core business tactics and beliefs. One of the things we take in pride in, very carefully mind you, is proving to our clients that sometimes saving a buck isn't always the best answer. So far it's proven to ensure we can meet the needs of our clients in an unstable market, ensure an outcome that upholds the high standard we are legally bound to, and has made us stronger than a lot of our competition. Or to remain at least in the top 100 of 500 engineering firms according to ENR in 2017, 208 and 2019 and most likely 2020, and pre 2017.

My only reward for Eibach to produce these springs for earlier Pro years would be so those owners are happier. There's too many unhappy people in this world.

Submitting my formal request for 2020+. Haven't had any rubbing w/33s yet, would prefer to keep it that way after I install an ARB Summit bumper.

OK gang. We need the earlier years in for measurement session. I need a local 17' and a local 19' who can leave us their trucks for 2 days in which we run a measuring session. Then we make prototypes and get them on the trucks. The faster we can sell these 2020 springs the easier it will be to make a case to push the 17-19' through development quickly, so tell your friends, get excited and ask your dealers to get them in!

@GrilledCheese Love it. I'm partial to softoppers myself and that green. THAT GREEN, MAN!

There is always cost savings involved with manufacturers, but they also got more travel out of the open spring. So, if the shock is actually the same internally and measurements are the same, there could be a benefit to adapting the 2020 hypothetically speaking of course. We're going to look into it once we get our hands on the earlier trucks.

So does that mean there's info you can share about the 2020 springs? :) :)

haven't test fit yet. I'm just basing my travel notes off of the designs I have access to.

Haha, thanks for reaching out, but trying to keep accuracy at the forefront. We prefer to have the original part installed.

Wish I was closer Mark. I'd be more than happy to hand off the keys for all the tests you'd need to run.

    In the mean time.

I've got an 2018 down in SD and an extra set of wheels to drive. Are there any differences between the 17s and 18s?

I am getting a 2021 Pro and noticed the Fox Shocks seem to change every year. Are the 2021 Pro Shocks the same as the 2020?
