went with this from Etsy. It does the job and is half the price of the mountain hatch. However it doesn’t feel as firm as the oem one.

What did you think of the insert you got off of Etsy?

 

after having it on, I’d give it a 7.5/10. it of course does the trick of not hurting the knees and allowing to put a cold one or two down without falling, however I can’t compare to other such as mountain hatch or those aluminum ones.
I think the main cons is It does feel not as stiff as oem when trying to stand on it over the hollow spots of the tailgate, and when you close it, you would have to close a bit harder because it’s thicker than the oem one where it meets with the rubber stopper, but overall, I like it. I pod half of mountain hatch and it does what I need it to do.

 

I’ll take the shift knob if you’re willing to ship...happy to pay shipping and PayPal fees.

A local shop sells the aluminum powder coated panels. I hit him up today and he Is letting me pick one from the laser etching shop in San Mateo. Good price and it won’t warp in the sun like the Mountain Hatch does.
