The Tacoma can't pull it up the ramp unless I'm in 4low. In 2/4high it requires an unreal amount of clutch slip. I tried to get it going, and even with it floored, bull the top of the ramp it was bogging and trying to stall...

Zero torque. So now I get to blow my front drive axles trying to make the turn on the ramp in 4low.

On the plus side... 4low atrac.... I was the smallest truck at the ramp and the ONLY truck that didn't spin tire or anything... So there is that.

People were commenting on how well it did, even with the mud terrains on the known slippery and wet ramp.

My ranger was the same, had to use 4lo on the boat ramp. Its not just the tacomas.

2WD LOW mod is fantastic and solves these issues. A must have for a MT pickup driver, I love mine.

But now that I’ve got the OVT tune on my truck I don’t have to worry about it. Drives much more normal. I can actually drive around in second without it bogging down.

From the factory it’s definitely better than the auto but it’s still far from perfect. It definitely took some getting used to

Same thoughts exactly with my 2020 6spd OR. I added a SpeedForm throttle booster and it definitely makes a difference. Have you tried one yet? Mine was only $150

I’ve been tuned for 3 years now, it’s well worth it. The newest release is fantastic and makes this truck like it should have been from the factory.

agreed. I’m in the same boat here and will vouch for the OVtune all day as 100% worth it. Truck drives more like you’d want it to in nearly every way.
